Fabric

I have only stitched on Aida 14 ct fabric but would like to try linen or evenweave.

Which type of fabric would be better for me to try first and what count?

Also, how would one stitch on linen or evenweave?

I would try 28 count evenweave next. It will be the same size as your 14 count aida because you use 2 threads for each stitch. each thread is evenly spaced so after a while you don't even have to count the threads. With linen the threads are sometimes larger of smaller so you always have to count esp when crossing more that two threads. Once you use evenweave you won't want to come back to adia. Your piece looks much nicer! Hope that helps!
